Welcome to CCE Management. By installing, accessing, or using this application (“App”), you (“User”, “Teacher”, or “Headmaster”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Role and Responsibility (Data Fiduciary)
CCE Management functions as a digital academic management tool. Educational institutions and authorized users act as Data Fiduciaries with respect to student data entered into the App.
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring accuracy and legality of all student data entered.
- Obtaining necessary parental or guardian consent before processing a minor’s data.
- Complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
2. Processing of Children’s Data (Minors)
The App processes sensitive data relating to minors for official educational purposes. By using the App, you confirm that:
- Your institution has obtained verifiable parental consent.
- No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track, profile, or conduct targeted advertising toward children.
- Ad-Free Experience: Advertisements are disabled for students and teachers.
3. AI-Powered OCR & Data Entry
The App includes AI features (Google ML Kit) for Text Recognition (OCR) to assist in entering marks and health data.
- On-Device Processing: OCR is processed on your device. Images are not stored on servers after extraction.
- Accuracy: Users must verify scanned data before saving.
4. Communication & Real-Time Chat
- Purpose: Official communication without sharing personal mobile numbers.
- Storage: Chat data is securely stored using Firebase Firestore.
- Role-Based Access: Limited to authorized teachers and parents.
5. Security: App Lock & Security Vault
- App Lock: Biometric or PIN-based protection.
- Security Vault: Encrypted local storage for sensitive data.
- Data Minimization: Aadhaar data is hashed where applicable.
6. Permissions & Their Use
- Camera: Student photos and OCR scanning.
- Notifications: Alerts for birthdays and messages.
- Storage/Media: Save PDFs, Excel files, backups.
- Biometrics: Secure app access.
7. Student Photos & Local Storage
- Photos are stored locally on the device.
- Not automatically synced to cloud.
- Deleting app removes photos permanently.
- Manual backup required for migration.
8. Cloud Synchronization & Data Portability
- Encrypted Transmission: SSL/TLS protection.
- Data Portability: Export to Excel and PDF anytime.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
- User Control: Delete profiles/accounts anytime.
- Institutional Requirements: Data may be retained as per law.
- Account Termination: Cloud data deleted upon verified request.
10. Rights of Data Principals
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, students and parents have the right to access, correct, or erase their personal data through their institution.
11. Limitation of Liability
CCE Management is provided “as is.” The developer shall not be liable for:
- Data loss due to device failure or lost PINs.
- Unauthorized sharing of exported files.
